Rail Freight Forward is the initiative - Noah's train was sent on a journey for that
12. 03. 2019
The major European railway companies have launched the "Rail Freight Forward" initiative to make it clear to people, the media and political decision-makers throughout Europe why rail is the best alternative for the climate.
The ambassador for the world is "Noah's Train", which is synonymous with green transport by rail. It stands for lower emissions and energy consumption and transforms into the longest mobile work of art on its journey through Europe.
Everyone knows the history of Noah's Ark. This time, however, it is a train that will save the world of tomorrow. Inspired by the former history, artists from different nations create a skilful staging of the containers. Two containers each were contributed by the rail transport companies PKP Cargo, DB Cargo, Lineas, SNCF and RCG and artfully designed at each stop. The train started on 14 December 2018 in Katowice, Poland. Via Vienna, Berlin and Paris, Brussels and Rome.

What to do next
Noah's Train will also stop in several countries in spring 2019. After that, you can see individual Noah's Train containers at the transport logistic in Munich from 4 to 7 June 2019.
The designed containers will then be put to operational use for our customers. Goods and merchandise cannot be transported more climate-friendly than with these containers on the environmentally friendly railways.
We are also happy if you use the hashtag #NoahsTrain, #railfreightforward or #30by2030 for your postings on social media channels like Facebook or Instagram and tag the vision with @railfreightforward. This is how you cheer the train on its way.
