Schoolbag of Hope

Education is the basis for a fulfilled life: it broadens personal horizons, creates the conditions for a stable income and offers social participation in a community. Many children around the world are deprived of this happiness. For this reason, the Stepic CEE Charity organisation launched the "Future in a Schoolbag" project eleven years ago to give young people easier access to education.

Collection record in 2024

Used schoolbags are collected at Raiffeisen Bank branches, schools and colleges, and new ones are purchased with the help of donations. The campaign has become more popular every year, and this year a new record was set: A total of 1,980 school bags were distributed, including 430 in Romania, 1,400 in Kosovo and 150 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Valuable cargo in the best hands

At RCG, we also believe that all children should have the same opportunities to fulfil their potential. That is why we have been making an important contribution to the success of the initiative for years: thanks to our support, the schoolbags reach their destination quickly and smoothly by train. In this way, the campaign benefits not only the students but also the environment.

The impact of the aid project goes beyond the children being supported – the school bags also give their families hope and a positive outlook for the future.
