Internationally, TransANT – the new wagon concept of voestalpine and Rail Cargo Group – has already caused a sensation. In mid-September it made its big appearance at a product launch event. On 13 December, the amazing event received the EVA Award 2018.
Over hundred applications reached the organizers of the EVA Award. After last year’s success, WEKA Industrie Medien organized the EVA B2B-Event-Award again this year. When finally the projects of the different B2B events were presented and the event management was about to be rewarded, the guests and the expert jury of the big gala night where literally going on a journey “back to the future”. On the screen of the “Gartenbaukino” (a cinema) in Vienna, which remained in the style of the 1950s, the participants got an impression of what our customers and the press had already experienced live in mid-September: The presentation of our innovative platform wagon TransANT. The TransANT will set new standards in railway logistics due to its modular, as well as industry-specific construction possibilities. The guests became part of an emotional product presentation. The expert jury awarded the RCG TransANT event with the first prize in the “Best Product Presentation” category because of the special staging.
Looking back at our Product Launch Event
We were inspired by nature and the characteristics of an ant when looking at the construction of the TransANT. No matter how quietly it moves, no matter how inconspicuously small it is its appearance – the larger, more bombastic and more effective the presentation had to be. As venue and event location, we chose the voestalpine’s cutting hall in Linz and the birthplace of TransANT – where the components of the wagon frame were cut out of high-strength steels.
We placed the 22 meter long wagon wrapped in black cloth stood in the middle of the production hall.
The quiet ant-crawl sound became more intense and louder and animated ants appeared on the LED screen. The song title “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” was booming from the loudspeakers. Miriam Hie, the moderator of the evening, entered the stage. The board members of the RCG and voestalpine explained why TransANT will revolutionize the wagon market. 3D animations turned technical and conceptual explanations into a visual experience.
Six hostesses in black cat suites sneaked through the crowd like ants. The hall trembled in between the light effect and the fog machine put a light veil around the cover of the wagon. Headlight beams made it seem almost mystical.
With strong thunder and lightning the curtain fell.
There it was, the bright red TransANT. The guests could no longer be kept in their seats. They came closer to the wagon, looked at it from all sides and saw for themselves what weight advantages, lower emissions and flexibility in construction look like. After all, these are terms that are decisive for the direction and future of rail freight transport and represent decision-making criteria for customers when choosing their logistics partner. In 2019, TransANT will already be used of vostalpine. Pay attention!, Perhaps you will discover it on the rail!
