When the who's who of the industry meets, you can't miss the Rail Cargo Group (RCG). This autumn, we were present at the most important green technology and logistics exhibitions to present our innovations and exchange ideas with industry professionals. Here are some impressions.
Ecomondo is an international exhibition dedicated to innovative technologies, services and industrial solutions in the green and circular economy. This year it was more successful than ever, with a five per cent increase in visitors and ten per cent more exhibitors. 1,620 brands were showcased in the Expo Centre. Two new halls were added to meet growing demand from companies. RCG had a strong presence at Ecomondo: we had our own stand and met with many partners, industry colleagues and customers.
This year we celebrated a premiere at TransLogistica in Warsaw, Poland – the leading transport and logistics event in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. RCG experts welcomed many of the 11,000 visitors to their own stand. Our presence in Poland is particularly important as the country is on its way to becoming a major player in the European rail freight market. With the growing importance of rail transport and increasing investment, the railway network is being continuously modernised. With over 20 years of experience, its own forwarder and carrier branches and a total of 40 local employees, RCG is at the forefront of this development. TransLogistica was a great opportunity to network with customers from all sectors.
Turkey has always played a key role in intercontinental trade and remains a central hub for goods and services. As the market leader, RCG is excellently positioned in the Turkish market. With its own freight forwarding subsidiary, 24 employees in Istanbul and several TransFER connections for intermodal transport, RCG offers optimal networking between the economic regions of Europe and Asia. This makes it all the more important for us to be present at Turkey's largest logistics trade fair, logitrans in Istanbul. At the Yenikapi Avrasya Show and Art Center, our logistics experts provided information on our extensive services and gave an insight into current trends. Even some animal visitors stopped by.
