Open or closed, with stakes or sliding panels, our fleet is just as varied as the goods we transport. We present to you our top 6 freight wagons, which are part of SmartLINK, our digital service portfolio.

Our Ea wagons are top of the league: They are a type of open wagons that are used to transport weatherproof goods like scrap metal, wood and sugar beet. Their greatest strengths: they’ve a high payload capacity of up to 66 tonnes, they’re all-purpose and robust.
Hot on their heels are our Sg container carrier wagons. They are primarily operated in intermodal transport with 40 foot and 20 foot containers. In combination with specific transport containers, they are very well suited to transporting goods like wood chips, ore or construction materials.
3rd place goes to the Fa & Ta, which are bulk cargo wagons. The Fa wagon is open on top and can be used to transport bulk goods like coal, ore and gravel. One particularly practical feature is that it unloads independently by pneumatically opening the doors on both sides. In the innovative TransANT wagon concept, this design is implemented by the “BULK-Box” with yet more payload capacity.
The Ta wagons can also be closed with a roof and this means sensitive cargo can be perfectly protected against any adverse weather conditions, which means goods like grain, fertiliser or salt can reach their destinations safe and sound.
Coming in at fourth position is the Shimmns special wagon: it’s used to transport steel coils. As it is predominantly equipped with a tarpaulin cover and often comes with special equipment for securing cargo like fixing arms and surface linings, it is excellently suited to particularly high quality steel coils such as those that are used in the automobile industry.
The Habb, a high-quality covered wagon, takes 5th place in the rankings. It’s the right choice for all products that need to be specially protected against adverse weather conditions and any other potential transport damage. This is regardless of whether they are on pallets, in big packs, or on wheels or racks. A true all-rounder that can transport drinks cans, paper, tiles, timber and machine parts and vehicle components for the automobile industry with ease.
Our top 6 is finished off with our stake wagon Rnoos: It stands out for its 10 pairs of stakes and 2 bulkheads made from robust steel, which secure the transport goods, usually raw wood. The Rnoos can carry up to 65 tonnes and can transport sawn wood and steel pipes in addition to raw wood.
