20 years of RCG apprenticeships: let’s look back at this anniversary year

11. 12. 2020

It’s 20 years since our first freight forwarding apprentices began their training at the RCG. It was the start of a success story. We’ve had a look at this story on our blog over the past few months.

To do this, we put the spotlight on our colleagues who have helped co-write this success story – and who represent all our current and former apprentices as well as the entire team of trainers: our apprentice Patrick Gamsjäger, who especially enjoys the apprenticeship’s versatility and how much fun it is to work at the RCG. Our sales colleague Michael Sordo, who relishes all the opportunities available when you work for an international company. Trainer Sandra Hirz, whose passion for her job stimulates young people‘s desire to learn. Karin Scheiblehner, who was one of the RCG’s very first apprentices and now represents staff interests as Chair of the Works Council. Kathrin Schindler, today a customs agent in Service Delivery, who wouldn’t hesitate to go for the RCG apprenticeship if she had the chance to pick one again. And Matthäus Tepperberg, who found the ideal way to combine his RCG apprenticeship with an academic degree.

Solid education with a future

They all enjoy looking back on their RCG apprenticeships and they all agree: the RCG apprenticeship gives you the best possible foundation for a job in the logistics industry and enriches you on many levels. The benefits of being part of a big, international company, the balance between theoretical and practical learning, and the good teamwork are what make the RCG apprenticeships so special. After all, the RCG doesn’t just transport goods, but knowledge too – with a lot of experience, flair and team spirit.

Congratulations!

CEO Clemens Först congratulates this year‘s apprentices who have completed their training, all current and former apprentices and the whole team of trainers in this anniversary year:
