The historic vehicles were brought from Vienna to Wels for the auction at the Classic Austria - trade fair for young and oldtimers.
Together with Classic Car Auctions and Messe Wels the transport was carried out by car train. Sustainable and CO2 saving.
An extraordinary special-transport
The transport of classic cars by rail is anything but an everyday business. The valuable freight was loaded onto the motorail train at Vienna Central Station. The equipment was provided by the RCG customer Hödlmayr.
Together with the vintage car owners and invited press representatives, the journey was then made by train directly to the destination Wels. The special train was pulled by the ÖBB climate locomotive.
After unloading, the vehicles were taken directly to the exhibition center in Wels. This is because Classic Austria will take place from 20 to 22 September. The fair is the meeting point for all classic car lovers, collectors and restorers. In addition to brand clubs, car and parts traders, elegant classic cars and youngtimers, historic motorcycles, trucks and tractors will be presented in Wels.
A special highlight will be the auction of valuable vintage cars and motorcycles under the lead of Classic Cars Auctions founder Franziskus Kriegs-Au on 21 September at 3 pm.
