Kings&Queens at the Oberbank Forum in Linz

12. 09. 2019

At this year's Oberbank Forum in Linz - with 800 invited guests from business and industry - we spoke together with our customers about the future of rail freight transport. And above all, what an attractive long-term offer is needed to shift goods from road to rail.

The Rail Cargo Group operates 365 days a year and 24 hours a day on behalf of its customers. Every year, we transport around 113 million net tons of goods in and through Austria.

Digitalisation, flexibility, a shift in the industry mix, changed framework conditions with regard to marketing strategies and cost structures are just some of the trends that we have to counter with new business models.

For this purpose, investments must be made, for example, in the training of train drivers, in digitisation and in new wagon equipment and locomotives.

In recent years, we have succeeded in positioning ourselves as a top player in Europe, but we must think ahead to compete in the market and achieve our goal of being number one in terms of quality, innovation and internationality.

Reliable, Caring, Go-ahead

It is our vision to offer our services in such a way that we create advantages, added value and ultimately a "feel good experience" for the customer through simplicity and convenience.

In other words, we make our core competencies visible to our customers and learn from their needs. To this end, we no longer see our customers classically as "customers", but rather as partners and thus as an integral part of the value-added processes.

We are therefore the business partner who contributes to the success of our customers by jointly finding innovative solutions, especially with regard to digitization.

All according to our guidelines: Reliable, Caring, Go-ahead
