RCG Bike Challenge 2017

365 days a year, Rail Cargo Carrier concentrates on the international in-house production of the Rail Cargo Group and the growth in the train-kilometre performance of the carrier companies. In July 2017, for the first time not only the achievement of the planned train kilometres will be closely followed, but also the bike kilometre performance of motivated RCG employees for four days. They will take up the challenge of cycling the distance between the Bavarian Wolnzach, the headquarters of Rail Cargo Carrier - PCT, and the company headquarters at Vienna Central Station. A whole 460 kilometres have to be bridged.

The planned sections are as follows:

• Day 1 (Th, 27.7.) Journey to Wolnzach
• Day 2 (Fri, 28.7.) Wolnzach - Aldersbach (approx. 128 km)
• Day 3 (Sat, 29.7.) Aldersbach - Linz (approx. 117 km)
• Day 4 (Sun, 30.7.) Linz - Spitz an der Donau (approx. 116 km)
• Day 5 (Mon, 31.7.) Final spurt Spitz an der Donau - Vienna (approx. 100 km)

In order for the athletes to feel like real professionals, a support team will accompany the cyclists by car in order to ensure good care and luggage transport.

We made it!

11 motivated colleagues from various areas and companies of RCG followed our call and signed up for the RCG-Bike-Challenge. From 28th to 31st of July they went 460 km by bike from Wolnzach in Bavaria (headquarters of Rail Cargo Carrier - PCT) to Vienna to the company headquarters, where we expected them.
